EEC Digital Forum Sets a Green Data-Center PUE Target of 1.3 or Below

EECO's first 2026 sectoral deep-dive forum discussed green data-center development in the EEC, setting a PUE target of 1.3 or below and focusing on clean energy, advanced cooling, closed-loop water and integrated infrastructure planning.

Participants discussed approximately 10,000 MW of projected long-term electricity demand against 3,800 MW of then-planned supply, along with water, specialist skills and digital-infrastructure finance challenges. EECO said it would advance dedicated data-center zoning, power, water, fiber and subsea-cable planning, and PPP frameworks.

The figures and measures were forum vision and planning discussions, not a new project approval or guaranteed supply. The release gives no specific zone authorization, tender, investor, construction capacity or operating date.
