EEC Next-Generation Automotive Forum Focuses on Localization, Testing, Skills and Green Finance
EECO held its second EEC Sectoral Deep Dive Forum on 22 June 2026 to discuss the EV and next-generation automotive ecosystem across investment, infrastructure, R&D, workforce and Thai participation in global supply chains.
Representatives from BYD, SAIC Motor-CP, Toyota Motor Thailand and BMW Group Thailand shared operating and investment experience in Thailand. They emphasized developing EVs while maintaining the competitiveness of the conventional automotive base, local supply chains and technical talent.
A second session covered automotive-testing infrastructure from the Thailand Automotive Institute, workforce development from Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, and green finance from Bank of China (Thai). The forum was a policy and industry dialogue; the official release did not announce a new individual investment project or contract.
