Thailand’s Government Public Relations Department reported on 18 August 2026 that Department of Business Development data showed 736 foreign businesses approved to operate under the Foreign Business Act from January through July 2026, representing about THB219 billion of investment. Compared with the same period of 2025, the number rose by 153, or 26%, while value increased by approximately THB59.748 billion, or 37%.

The published country mix was 133 investors from China, 121 from the United States, 97 from Singapore, 94 from Japan and 72 from Hong Kong. These are approvals and associated investment statistics; they do not establish that every company has completed construction, procurement or production, and they reveal no order value for any individual company.

The approved foreign businesses employed 5,229 Thai workers, 1,144 or 22% more than a year earlier. This is a public signal of expanding recruitment and organisational demand, but the source does not disclose company-specific vacancies, salary, or closing dates. No vacancy is inferred or invented here.

The three EEC provinces attracted 220 foreign investors, 30% of the national count, with THB85.615 billion of investment, 39% of the relevant national value. Industrial service providers can monitor verifiable factory, warehouse, equipment, IT, recruitment and supply-chain demand, but each opportunity must be confirmed against a company notice, tender document or careers page.

A useful opportunity register should keep separate states for permission to operate, incorporation, project approval, procurement notice, open vacancy, contract award and actual operations. Each state needs its own source, date and deadline; expired demand should be marked closed rather than erased.
