Kuraray Joint-Venture Materials Plant Opens at WHA Map Ta Phut
Kuraray-linked joint ventures opened an advanced chemical-materials plant in Rayong that had been operational since February 2023.
Kuraray GC Advanced Materials and Kuraray Advanced Chemicals (Thailand) held the opening ceremony for their new plant at WHA Eastern Industrial Estate (Map Ta Phut). The project involves Kuraray, PTT Global Chemical and Sumitomo Corporation, and the plant had been operational since February 2023.
WHA reported annual capacities of 13,000 tonnes of PA9T, 16,000 tonnes of hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer and 5,000 tonnes of MPD. The materials serve automotive, electronics, home-appliance, footwear and toy industries.
