Metafilm Breaks Ground on Its First Thailand Factory at WHA Rayong
Metafilm Electronics (Thailand) broke ground on its first manufacturing facility in Thailand, planned for film capacitors and electronic materials.
WHA Industrial Development joined the groundbreaking ceremony for Metafilm Electronics (Thailand)'s new facility at WHA Industrial Estate Rayong. The first Metafilm plant in Thailand is designed around automation and sustainable features and is intended to make film capacitors and electronic materials.
WHA said at the time that operations were expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025 and that the project was expected to create more than 100 jobs in Rayong. Those dates remain the expectations stated in the announcement; the official source confirms groundbreaking, not commercial operation.
