WHAID, WHAUP and PEA Partners Sign Data-Center Power-System MOU
WHAID, WHAUP, PEA and PEA ENCOM signed an MOU to study stable, efficient power systems and distribution models for data centers.
WHA Industrial Development, WHA Utilities and Power, the Provincial Electricity Authority and PEA ENCOM signed a memorandum of understanding to explore stable and efficient power systems and suitable distribution models for data centers, especially high-demand users in WHA industrial estates.
The scope includes feasibility assessment and exploration of open electricity trading, peer-to-peer energy trading, smart grids, microgrids, fuel cells and hydrogen. This is a study and cooperation MOU; it does not mean any specific power facility had been approved, started construction or entered operation.
