ADI Opens Smart, Sustainable Semiconductor Backend Facility in Chonburi

Analog Devices announced on 19 March 2026 that its new advanced manufacturing facility in Chonburi, Thailand, had opened. The site expands test, wafer-level processing, chip-scale packaging and final IC test capability while integrating automation and digital manufacturing.

ADI says the facility is located in Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor and forms part of its global hybrid manufacturing network. The Thailand operation serves as an important backend manufacturing and test node for industrial, automotive, communications, consumer and digital-health markets.

The site was designed as a smart and sustainable factory with advanced automation, digital manufacturing, energy-efficient systems, enhanced water recycling and real-time environmental monitoring. It was developed to LEED standards with the intent of achieving Platinum certification; that is a certification target, not a claim that certification has already been awarded.

The official release does not disclose the investment amount or specific incremental capacity, so those figures should not be estimated. ADI also supports skills development through the ADI Thailand Academy and university partnerships in test engineering, automation, failure analysis and smart-factory technologies.
