On 10 June 2026, CHANGAN Thailand announced a first-anniversary production milestone for its Rayong factory: 20,000 vehicles produced locally since manufacturing began. Thai automotive outlet Autolife Thailand independently reported the same date, count and anniversary milestone.
CHANGAN says the cumulative output covers the DEEPAL S05 and NEVO Q05. An earlier WHA announcement confirms that the factory is at WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 4 in Rayong and officially opened in May 2025.
The 20,000 figure is cumulative production as of the announcement. It is not design annual capacity and does not represent vehicles sold, exports, order backlog or utilisation. The public sources do not provide verifiable breakdowns for those measures, so this article does not estimate them.
CHANGAN describes Rayong as a production and export hub for right-hand-drive markets, but the sources reviewed do not disclose actual exports by destination. The directly verifiable EEC development is sustained local production of two models reaching a cumulative-output milestone.
For ERP and manufacturing execution, the milestone increases the importance of one data chain across VIN and lot traceability, BOM and software-version freeze, component serials, quality release, rework, supplier lots, finished-vehicle receipt and export documents.
Management should account separately for vehicles produced, quality-released inventory, wholesale, retail, exports and cash collection. Treating output as sales or demand can distort supplier stocking, cash-flow and capacity decisions.
