Histar breaks ground on Rayong smart-controller factory with 22-million-unit capacity plan
WHA and independent Chinese business reports confirm the 25 June 2026 groundbreaking for COSMOPlat's Histar factory in Rayong. WHA reports more than THB2.2 billion of investment and 34 rai of land; the 22-million-unit annual capacity and AI counts remain project targets, not current output.

On 25 June 2026, Histar Intelligence Technology under COSMOPlat held a groundbreaking ceremony for a smart-controller factory in Rayong. WHA published the estate account on 9 July, while Shanghai Securities News and ChinaIOL reported the project on 26 June.
WHA locates the project at WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 5 and reports investment exceeding THB2.2 billion on 34 rai. Business reports citing the project owner describe planned maximum annual capacity of 22 million smart controllers for home-appliance applications.
The factory remains under construction. The 22-million figure is maximum planned annual capacity, while 100% connected key equipment, 30 AI-agent applications and nine application scenarios are design targets—not realised output, utilisation or operating performance.
This is distinct from Haier's commercial-air-conditioning factory that broke ground in the same estate in May 2026. Histar makes smart controllers, and its investment, land, timing and capacity scope form a separate event and translation group.
The project may create demand across PCBs, electronic components, connectors, plastics, testing, packaging and cross-border logistics. Public sources do not identify awarded suppliers, orders, local-content ratios or an operating date, so customer relationships must not be inferred.
Digital design should establish common controller models, BOM/ECN effectivity, software and firmware versions, serial numbers, process parameters, test results and supplier lots before linking ERP, MES, WMS, equipment and energy data. AI claims require acceptance metrics and audit logs.
