PGI Opens Fully Automated Die-Casting Plant in Rayong After USD 53 Million-Plus Investment
PGI Auto Components (Thailand) has officially inaugurated a fully automated high-pressure die-casting plant at WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 1 in Rayong. The project represents an investment of more than USD 53 million, approximately THB 1.9 billion, and spans over 37,000 square metres.
The facility is positioned as a production hub for high-quality high-pressure die-cast components, supported by advanced automation and digital infrastructure, with customers in North America and other global markets. WHA's estimated annual production value of USD 100 million is a forecast, not realised revenue.
High-pressure die casting is important for complex and lightweight components used across conventional and new-energy vehicles. The project adds automated metal-component capability to Rayong's automotive cluster, although the official source does not disclose actual output, order volumes or new employment.
