SEIKOH GIKEN Opens Fiber-Optic Components Plant in Saraburi
Japanese precision-technology and optical-communications company SEIKOH GIKEN has officially inaugurated a new manufacturing facility at WHA Saraburi Industrial Land. The plant focuses on assembling fibre-optic components for 5G, data-centre and smart-network demand, and the official source confirms that the facility has opened.
The site localises part of the assembly process for critical optical-communications components in Thailand. WHA says local production can reduce import dependence and encourage electronics, network-equipment and engineering-service companies to form a more complete domestic supply chain.
Fibre-optic components are core inputs for high-speed communications, data-centre interconnection and 5G networks. The plant strengthens the manufacturing layer of Thailand's digital-infrastructure supply chain, although the announcement does not disclose investment value, plant area, capacity, customer orders or employment data.
