WHAUP Sets Out 2026 Smart Water and Clean-Power Infrastructure Plan
WHAUP published its 2026 plan on 20 March, allocating more than THB 2.9 billion to water and power activities, with 57% assigned to power and 43% to utilities. These are capital-expenditure and business targets, not evidence that every project or contract has been completed.
The water programme covers raw-water supply, industrial water, wastewater treatment, reclamation and a Smart Water Platform. WHAUP says it is expanding industrial-water production and wastewater-treatment capacity by more than 25 million cubic metres across WHA ESIE 2.1, 3.1 and 5 while developing backup sources for data centres and future industries.
The power programme includes private PPAs, Direct PPAs, renewable-energy certificate trading and a peer-to-peer trading platform, together with a study of small modular reactor technology. Signed-capacity figures, additional PPAs and second-quarter deals in the release are 2026 targets or expectations, not confirmed completion or operation.
