Yongjin Breaks Ground on THB 4.5 Billion-Plus Precision Stainless-Steel Plant in Chonburi
Yongjin Metal Technology (Thailand) has broken ground on a new facility at WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 3 in Chonburi. The project represents an investment of more than THB 4.5 billion on a 179,000-square-metre site and is planned as a precision stainless-steel plate and strip production base; it remains under construction.
Planned products include 300- and 400-series BA stainless steel and 300-series 2B material. These products can serve automotive, electronics, home-appliance, aerospace and chemical industries, with the plant intended to address Southeast Asian and international demand.
Yongjin Group also operates across cold-rolled stainless-steel coils, stainless water pipes, titanium alloys, new-energy materials and metal composites. The official source gives no completion date, production-start schedule, annual capacity or employment figure, so groundbreaking must not be presented as production.
