What happened: AMATA announced on 3 August 2026 that Essmail Venture Two Limited and Essmail Venture Three Limited signed land purchase and sale agreements at Amata City Rayong. AMATA identifies both companies as CloudHQ affiliates and describes the transaction as an expansion of the data-centre footprint in Rayong.
Confirmed facts: CloudHQ's official BKK Campus page lists 726,000 square feet (67,448 square metres), 108MW available critical load and 108MW total critical IT load. It also describes a planned on-site substation and readiness for service within 22 months.
Not yet confirmed: neither public source states which BKK Campus phase the newly acquired land supports, nor that the entire 108MW is incremental capacity attributable to these agreements. This article therefore does not describe the transaction as the start of a new 108MW build.
Industry impact: data-centre projects coordinate power, carrier redundancy, cooling, equipment delivery, construction resources and estate approvals. Rayong manufacturers can monitor demand for engineering resources without assuming that any named supplier has received an order.
Digital and ERP connection: project businesses need one project code linking land, design, equipment procurement, receipts, installation, construction in progress, milestone payments and asset capitalisation, with controlled capacity and change records.
Opportunity and risk: EEC data-centre investment may support demand for electrical and mechanical systems, metalwork, logistics and operations services. The main information risks are treating planned capacity as commissioned capacity, assigning campus figures to one land transaction and inferring schedules before power or permit details are public.
